( 2 ) Ought to का प्रयोग वैसे बाध्यता के लिए होता हैं जो नैतिक / सामजिक हो न कि कानूनी। यह हमारा नैतिक कर्तव्य हैं कि हम अपने माता – पिता का कहना माने। इसके लिए कानूनी बाध्यता नहीं हैं। अत: इस प्रकार के भाव के लिए Ought to का प्रयोग होगा। आप चाहे तो Ought to के बदले Should का भी प्रयोग कर सकते हैं।
सभी Subjects के साथ Ought to का प्रयोग किया जाता हैं।
